What is Radiesse?

Radiesse is a safe, FDA-approved dermal filler that smooths lines and wrinkles. Radiesse temporarily adds volume to skin to smooth lines and wrinkles, including laugh lines for a younger, refreshed facial appearance. Radiesse is also FDA-approved to restore volume loss on the backs of the hands.

Radiesse treatments for a younger look.

In our Grand Rapids plastic surgery office, we have chosen Radiesse to provide longer-lasting treatment to help restore facial volume to help you have a refreshed, younger appearance.

How does Radiesse® work?

As Radiesse is gently injected, it builds up the tissues of the face, reducing folds and creases and restoring fullness. Tiny calcium-based microspheres form a “scaffold” to support and stimulate the growth of natural collagen.

Over time, the calcium-based microspheres gradually break down and are safely and naturally absorbed by your body. Radiesse does more than just temporarily fill facial folds and wrinkles – it restores facial volume by triggering your body to produce its own natural “filler,” or natural collagen.

What can Radiesse injections do for me?

Radiesse injections can help you look and feel younger and more attractive. The areas that can be treated include:

  • Smile lines
  • Marionette lines (from sides of mouth, extending onto chin)
  • Nasolabial folds (from nose to sides of mouth)
  • Backs of hands if volume loss has led to a skeletal look
  • Add volume to cheeks
  • Add volume to temples
  • Smooths the jawline

Am I a candidate for Radiesse®?

If you are tired of seeing lines and wrinkles affecting your facial appearance, Radiesse injections can do wonders. Radiesse dermal filler provides smooth, attractive volume without the need to overcorrect – a clear advantage over many other filler products.

Once the filler is injected, it is massaged into your skin for precise, beautiful results you can see right away, and results that improve over time as the natural regeneration of collagen is triggered deep within your skin layers.

What are the benefits of Radiesse®?

  • When injected, the cream-like texture of Radiesse looks and feels soft and natural.
  • Results are immediate and typically last a year or more.
  • Radiesse treatments are relatively painless and any minor redness or swelling typically disappears within the first 24 hours.
  • Minor bruising may occur but typically disappears within seven days.
  • You can comfortably return to your normal activities immediately following treatment.

Why choose us for your Radiesse?

The result of your Radiesse treatment is highly dependent on the expertise and experience of your Radiesse administrator. At the Center for Aesthetics and Plastic Surgery, your treatment will be administered by one of our highly trained, expert injectors who are certified physician assistants, NP-D or RNs. Their experience, artistic eye and expertise ensure that your results will be optimal.

What is the treatment experience?

Treatment with Radiesse takes only a few minutes to complete, and the results are immediately visible. A series of tiny injections with a very small needle are performed to fill in lines and creases or create a more attractive facial appearance by adding subtle volume to the cheeks. The experience is not difficult, and the areas to be treated can be numbed with topical cream if you have concerns about any pain associated with injections.

Hand rejuvenation with Radiesse

Your hands are always busy, and one of the areas of the body that is continually exposed to the elements. In Grand Rapids, your hands are exposed to extreme cold, wind, water in the form of rain or snow during the winter, and heat and wind during the warmer months. Over time, the skin on your hands thins, giving away your age. With Radiesse, the plump, youthful look of your hands can be restored. Added treatments to address sun spots or age spots can be performed to enhance your results even further.
