Key to Eternal Beauty

Posted on November 14, 2017 by Dr. Ringler

Do you ever run into someone who looks like they hold the key to eternal beauty?  They possess vitality, beautiful skin and a youthful, healthy glow regardless of their age.  I have been performing facial aesthetic surgery for over 34 years including; facelifts, blepharoplasty (eyelid lift) along with neck lifts and brow lifts.  These surgeries can have a dramatic effect on helping men and women look about 9-10 years younger than their actual age, but as time goes by, some of the result can diminish, often due to the quality or elasticity of the skin. Maintenance of the skin is necessary to optimize the result of surgery and enhance the…

Posted on September 7, 2016 by Dr. Ringler

GettyImages_87884438“How much is a breast augmentation?” This is a question we hear frequently from women calling our office.  When we tell them that the price can vary, there is sometimes a bit of surprise on the part of the caller.  I thought it might be good to explain some of the factors that can impact the price of a breast augmentation.  This includes variations within our own office and also the differences between plastic surgery offices that can affect price.

There have been recent articles in ASAPS and in the media about plastic surgeons who regularly snapchat plastic surgery procedures, with their patients permission, and gain millions of viewers and sometimes new referrals.

As we become more entrenched with this type of plastic surgery voyeurism that started with with Extreme Makeover, then Nip/Tuck and Botched, there seems to be an endless appetite for people to want to look behind the scenes of plastic surgery procedures.

On the one hand, it is normal to want to know what to expect during a plastic surgery procedure. Consultations with a plastic surgeon and sites such as ASAPS and ASPS and RealSelf can give patients…

Plastic Surgery Trends 2015

Posted on March 3, 2016 by Dr. Ringler

shutterstock_86814208-1Every year, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) develops a list, based on surveys from board certified plastic surgeons, of the most requested plastic surgery trends of the year. The list includes those procedures that are surgical as well as non-surgical, in addition to some upcoming trends in plastic surgery.

In 2015 there was a big trend for women wanting butt augmentation with fat grafting, butt lifts and butt implants. These were the fastest growing procedures in the United States. The rate of those requesting butt lifts increased by 89% between 2000-2015. It seems likely that the trend for bigger bottoms stems from celebrities like Kim Kardashian, J.Lo and Nicki…

The good news is that there are some pretty simple home remedies that many people have found effective over the years that don’t cost much money and may be worth a try.

*Tea bags that have been soaked in warm water and then chilled in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes can be placed over the eyes to help reduce puffiness.

*Thick slices of…
