Facial UltraLift

Facial UltraLift in Grand Rapids

As your face begins to age, you may notice some loss of volume or a change in your skin’s tone or elasticity. For those who prefer a non-surgical approach to facial rejuvenation, we offer the facial UltraLift™.

Designed exclusively by Grand Rapids plastic surgeon, Dr. Steven L. Ringler, the Facial UltraLift™ combines the benefits of FDA approved, Ultherapy with a “liquid-facelift”.

Utilizing advanced Ultherapy training and techniques, Dr. Ringler can help restore vitality to your face resulting in skin that is visibly lifted and more youthful. The results will be subtler than with a surgical face-lift, but for younger patients and those not ready for facial surgery, the results can be very natural and beautiful with a more youthful contour to the face and better tone to the skin.

The Facial UltraLift™ is available exclusively at the Center for Aesthetics and Plastic Surgery

What is ULTRALift?

UltraLift is an in-office, non-surgical procedure developed personally by Dr. Ringler to help restore volume and skin tone to the face, neck and brow. Utilizing advanced techniques in FDA approved Ultherapy with more lines of energy than is typical, along with the addition of artistically placed facials fillers, and sometimes the use of Xeomin or Botox instead of Radiesse. This is  a non-surgical facial rejuvenation technique designed personally just for you.

How does ULTRALift work?

The Ultherapy™ component of the treatment uses safe and effective ultrasound technology to see below the surface of the skin, down to the area of the soft tissue, where we are able to safely and precisely direct ultrasound waves. The selective heating effect of the ultrasound stimulates your body’s own collagen production and over several months, results in a face and brow that is visibly lifted. The UltraLift requires advanced training techniques in Ultherapy, utilizes more lines of energy, as well as several different applicators that give us the ability to apply the treatment to all areas of the face, brow, and the area around the mouth to diminish fine lines.

The second component of the UltraLift treatment involves a careful evaluation of your facial contours, and together with you, we will address any areas of concern that would benefit from the use of artistically placed facial fillers; such as Radiesse, Juvederm,Voluma and Restalyne. For some patients who do not require the use of facial fillers, Botox or Xeomin may be recommended.

Who is a good candidate for ULTRALift?

  • Those who have early signs of aging such as a sagging brow or skin that has lost some of its elasticity.
  • Those with loss of volume around the cheeks or early signs of jowls in the lower face.
  • Realistic expectations about what UltraLift can and cannot accomplish.
  • Appreciation of a natural, subtle lift to the facial structures and improved skin tone for face, neck and brow.

How long does it take to see results?

The full benefits of UltraLift will be fully evident after two or three months as your skin begins to rebuild lost collagen. The facial fillers will give you immediate improvement in the contour of the face, while the Xeomin or Botox take about a week to be fully effective.

How long does the ULTRALift procedure take to perform?

UltraLift is an in-office, non-surgical procedure, which takes from 1-3 hours to perform depending on the areas treated and your own specific needs.

Does ULTRALift require any anesthesia?

We have found that when utilizing more lines of energy than is typical for Ultherapy treatment, you will remain most comfortable with a local anesthetic. The effect of the local anesthetic remains throughout the Ultherapy procedure, as well as through the secondary part of the procedure when the facial fillers are utilized. The effect of the local anesthetic typically will wear off within the hour following  your treatment.

Is there any downtime?

There is no downtime required with an UltraLift, and most people leave the office and resume their daily activities immediately. Any temporary redness of the skin is easily camouflaged with touch up make-up, which we will be happy to provide you with through our skincare center. Temporary redness typically resolves within the day of treatment.

How long do the results of facial ULTRALift last?

Since UltraLift is new technology, and each individual responds differently to treatment, it is not possible to predict accurately how long the full results will last. Typical results last for 1-2 years. Subsequent treatments may enhance the collagen building effect of the initial treatment.

Are the results of a Facial ULTRALift the same as a surgical facelift?

The results of UltraLift will not be as dramatic or as long lasting as a surgical facelift. UltraLift may delay the need for face-lift for several years and may also be used to maintain the results achieved from a previous surgical facelift.
